Ok After 2 Months I'm Back To Update

Some poor performances to be honest we are now 6th.

I myself am losing interest and passion for this. It's been this way for sometime now, I have only spoke to a couple people about my personal views on the team. Where we can go from here? Why the hell am I last to know on everything? Win the league?

First things first I am thinking about stopping during October when the season is up so someone else can just take over as manager, they will pay the start up fee, they will sort the money out, they will get the players etc. It can really do my head in when I get home from work, switch on my PC and get told "Rob so and so is not coming", it would mean;

A) Someone who doesn't any 3/4s of the team have to be bought in
B) We play with what we got
C) I have to play.

I myself don't want to play anywhere I'm not in the shape to run about like I use to in my younger years. Yes I maybe 20 but when I was 17/18 I could run and run and run when playing football on grass with mates, but on astro nah it does me in. As I noted I am losing the passion for this now, it just don't interest me like it once did, I could come in every Monday and think "Yes football come on" but now it's a drag and not what it use to be. The team is virtually split in to groups, if Nathan is reading this he will know what I'm talking about, if I want to go deeper I could say I'm more of the outsider cause my style and way I do things is different to the rest, this is not a dig at anyone at all it's just what I see.

The team doesn't have that togetherness anymore, we turn up kick about before we play. Ok I maybe the manager, maybe I am meant to talk and shout but if you know me it's not my style I'm a laid back person who will talk to you individually or just point things out.

Where can we go from this I don't know, it's not just down to me, it's down to everyone else. If you want to win something you all need to pull together and do it. Work as a team don't expect the captain to do all the work. If one goes up someone cover cause we get caught out too easy and Dave bails us out.

Why all of a sudden did I come up on here and decide to type my piece. It was time to do so I feel, I don't expect all my players to come along and read this but if they do no doubt I will be talked about behind the screens/backs.

There is no game on Monday due to Bank Holiday, I expect my team will be out getting pissed I don't mind but if you got a game the next day please do not drink. I don't want player's who still have beer in the system playing.

If you got a misses don't even talk to her before the game because that will distract you, believe me I know.

The performance was excellent, hardly any faults through out which we can do with every week.

Everyone upped their games tonight, which is pleasing to the eye of a manager. Solid in defence no real worries, midfield sick as ever and our lonely front man running shit oh and the keeper well yet again makes some big saves and always there.

1st half we started as we finished and that's on top, controlling the game, slick, quick passing. Everyone getting in on the act tonight, I may end up talking alot of gibberish that's because I'm very happy with the way things went tonight. 2nd half again in control and one of our best 2nd half performances this season, its something we need to work on.

Like to congratulate everyone including new boy, who was a stand in and is more than welcome to keep playing for us Otto.

Truth is many teams are actually talking about us, lets remain humble. We are a very good side but we can improve in areas.

Build Up To Tomorrow Nights Game

So then we have Snatch at 7pm. This is our opening cup game of the season, looking forward to this one very much, mainly because I feel we can turn them over.

Having beat prob the best side in our league we have a right to feel we can win this game considering we have lost to Snatch already which was VERY lucky.

What is needed is a strong tight defence with zero fucking around and I seriously mean this, if we do get caught out then we will be punished last week showed it! Defenders do NOT dribble out of defence with the ball because this will cause us problems. Midfield will need to be at the top of the game just like last Monday, keeping the key man on lock for the whole first half and part of the 2nd until it went all wrong. Front men do the job running, chasing, closing down oh and score ha!.

If we play at our tempo they won't be able to handle us that is a fact! No team who plays at our tempo enjoys it.

Expecting a win and to get this cup run off to a flyer, I'd love it if we could win the cup this season it would be a real achievement for a side like us.

Weclome Back

Tis moi the gaffer, since I seem to be the only blogger on here updating I'll just do my thing and post away. Few tracks for you to check while on this blog.

Lovejoy Is A Legend

We are all big fans of Soccer AM and during Tuesday news broke in The Guardian that he will be leaving the show. Its a huge shame that this has happened but I feel its for the best, Lovejoy is a legend BUT the past seasons show was getting stale it never had that pow factor like it did 2 years ago.

The show will be back for the new season Helen is on the "orange sofa" but with a new co-host.

From all of us within The Cobra's camp we would like to wish him the best in all future shows and Soccer AM under him for 10 years has been excellent. We will never forget when he got hit right in the nuts.

Lovejoy is a legend.

Interview With Joe Vial

RD: Excellent stuff. First question, for the people who are reading this and don't know about us, how did you get involved?
JV: Well , it all started off with our group of young lads with only one thing on their minds " football " , then one of us heard of the Monday night league , either the manager Robert Deal or my older brother Jack Vial , and we decided to put a 6 a side team together with the best 6 of us , and i was more than willing to step forward. Seeing as we have spent sooo many years playing competitively, so i think we were ready for the next stage.
